Strategic Intent

  • As Senior Manager in Product Marketing, you will be responsible for the P&L of the portfolio, including developing the value proposition, creating customer value and campaigns to drive acquisition and usage on the card.  Your ability to grasp and translate concepts into marketing plans is crucial.   You will need to understand competitor strengths and weaknesses to uncover additional opportunities to grow revenue and card utilization. 


  • Develop Card Proposition Strategy and Maximize Profitability
  • Product Positioning – apply cards business acumen and product insights to the planning and execution of customer programs.  Develop an understanding of market trends including risk, fraud and regulatory constraints, analyze competitor strengths and weaknesses and publish findings; translate market intelligence into developing highly differentiated and value based pillars to drive product value
  • Customer Insight – be knowledgeable on customer needs in the affluent space, including information / education required to fill customer knowledge gaps on product benefits; acquire intelligence and share findings through research, surveys; be proficient in buyer profiles, how they buy and their buying criteria in the affluent space
  • Product Knowledge – good grasp of portfolio management fundamentals and product functionality.  The ability to translate technical capabilities into benefits and effectively position and maintain how the product is distinguished from competitors
  • Sales Enablement – gain buy-in from sales channels by communicating value and purpose of the products; develop sales tools to facilitate the selling process of our products
  • Cross-Functional Engagement – work with Regional and Country counterparts in leveraging capabilities and shared resource to manage and advance the performance of the portfolio
  • Digitally Engage – identify opportunities to connect with customers in a forward compatible manner, engaging them in the areas they are present in while maintaining the human touch and accessibility
  • Strategic Partnerships – seek out and foster collaborations with partners in the affluent space to enhance product positioning through alliance, deliver value to customers and generate pipeline for new acquisition
  • Product Launch – plan and oversee the launch of new campaigns, offers; represent the voice of the market and the customer at the cross-functional product team meetings
  • Product Communications – ensure collateral and online content describing the product is complete, relevant and differentiated.
  • Product Packaging - identify promotions and product bundles that drive differentiated value and create interest and demand for product.
  • System Capabilities – readiness to acquire system knowledge in product parameter set ups and backend maintenance

Core Skills-set Requirements:

  • Business Focus - Demonstrate understanding of the business and its customers. Consistently look for opportunities to improve expense management and business performance.
  • Build Effective Working Relationships - Develop and use collaborative relationships to facilitate the accomplishment of business goals.
  • Communicates Effectively - Communicate clearly and concisely, with impact and credibility using appropriate language, style and terminology.
  • Qualification & Other Requirements:
  • Marketing, Economic and/or Business Degree
  • Min 6 years’ experience in Financial Services
  • Solid understanding of cards and lending landscape and financial dynamics
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining strong relationships, to drive business growth
