In this role you will be responsible for undertaking route and aerodrome analysis to support scheduled Qatar Airways Network operations and ad-hoc charter requests. You will supervise a small team of technical experts and will develop and implement initiatives based on statistical data to improve planning efficiencies through pre and post flight analysis. The role requires handling of projects with commercial sensitivity related to new fleet types and network expansions.
This role will require as well provide significant contribution to internal on-time performance programs to improve accuracy of city pair block times and payload availability and liaise with corporate planning and operations control regarding any variance. You will also manage content of the Qatar Airways Flight Operations Manual Part C and will ensure operationally relevant information is updated for Flight Crews and Flight Dispatch.
This role is essential to support the ongoing growth of the airline and to train and develop other employees for proper succession planning and risk management. You will provide leadership, guidance and continuous development to the subordinates within the shift while fostering a positive and effective team environment within the operations. Your job scope also includes providing detailed reports on Aerodrome and Route Analysis activities to senior management and to establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders to address requirements for route study and aerodrome analysis.
To be successful in this role, candidate should hold a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent qualifications and you must have minimum of 5 years of working experience within Airline Flight Operations environment related to Navigation activities. It is also essential that you have comprehensive knowledge and understanding in the field of Navigation related subjects, Operational Manual OM Part C, Risk Assessment, Aeronautical Information Publications and the use of computerized flight planning software, preferable Lido OC.
You are also expected to have good understanding of aviation regulations related to this area and have the ability to develop technical manuals. Holder of CPL/ Flight Dispatch License / Certificate or ATC License will be an added advantage.
You should have proficiency in MS office & Presentation Skills and should have the ability to develop and clearly present the objectives of the project. You must also possess excellent communication and analytical skills and experience of leading, managing, inspiring and engaging a large multi-cultural workforce.
