The Senior Manager Lounges is responsible for providing strategic, commercial and operational leadership to ensure that Qatar Airways HIA Lounges within Hamad International Airport (HIA) receives the best service and product updates. This role is responsible for 5-star service level delivery in HIA all lounges at all times.
In this role, you will oversee the management of services and day to day operations within Lounges through close monitoring of customer services and sales in order to establish the unit as a quality service provider thereby generating substantial revenue for Qatar Airways. Your area of responsibilities will also include Al Maha Services and their lounges. You will maintain effective communication with all relevant external and internal stakeholders.
Specific responsibilities include:
Manages work output that meets the agreed standard of quantity, quality, cost and time frame to maintain financial viability within HIA Lounges.
Organizes resources effectively and co-ordinate necessary activities to ensure efficient and risk free operation with all areas of HIA and Outstation Lounges.
Provides efficient leadership and promote positive teamwork by ensuring that QR specific guidelines are met at all times.
Prepares the annual business plans and operates within the budgets, making sure that adequate funding provisions are made for all activities with the area of responsibility.
Monitors expenditures against approved levels on regular basis and investigates significant variances to ensure effective performance and cost control.
Champions and directs the process of effective departmental planning including recruiting, training, developing and enhancing capabilities of staff.
Ensures that employees at all levels understand work, health and safety requirements and expectations through provision of relevant QR Group induction, information, instruction, training and supervision.
You hold a Bachelor’s degree from a reputed University/Colleges with 10 years of job related experience. You have comprehensive knowledge of airline lounge services with expertise on food and beverage management. You have sound financial management skills and operational management experience from a large catering/ Lounge/ F&B operation. In addition, you have strong knowledge of Food & Beverage Management from recognized 5-star background.
You have strong business acumen and able to challenge others to manage change creatively, implement new approaches and encourage continuous improvement within your areas of responsibilities. You have passion for the finest product and services and sufficient knowledge of current international travel trends.
