Reporting to the Lead Cargo Claims & Monitoring Officer, you will be responsible for timely processing of all cargo claims received by continuously monitoring discrepancies for Cargo and Mail. You will initiate corrective measures and escalate to reporting officer for crucial cases to minimize claim liabilities, and will monitor if customer complaints and claims received are recorded and acknowledged. You will also ensure that all records and files related to claims/discrepancies are in a systematic manner and for easy retrieval to comply with legal requirements.
The successful candidate will assist the Lead Claims Officer in collecting evidence/supportive documents from stations, and customers coordinate with inter-departments for processing claims and settlement to expedite the process. You will establish a database and ensure all records related to claims are maintained accurately.
Job Responsibility :
The ideal candidate will hold a Trade or Vocational Qualification or equivalent with a minimum 4 years of job-related experience in the airline cargo industry and have a solid understanding of cargo operations/claims. Knowledge and understanding of TACT rules/ IATA regulations, DGR, and product awareness, is required for this role.
Strong communication skills, excellent customer service, database management, leadership skills and analytical ability are essential for a successful candidate.
