In 2017 alone, Citi Foundation invested $13.26 million in 65 community programs serving over 290,000 people in Asia Pacific.
The Citi Asia Pacific Corporate Citizenship Manager will help to effectively manage Citi
Asia Pacific’s corporate citizenship activities including grant investments and volunteerism across 17 markets in the region.
This position will report to the Citi Asia Pacific Corporate Citizenship Senior Vice President, and work closely with the Citi Foundation based out of New York, and in-country Corporate Affairs.
The successful candidate will be expected to deliver on the following fronts:
Work closely with local Citi markets to develop and review grant proposals that are aligned with Citi Foundation’s global priorities, submit high-quality grant requests and coordinate the approval process in accordance with Citi Foundation policies, procedures, and quality and timeliness goals
Monitor the execution of the programs in the region, and conduct periodic program and portfolio reviews to assess outcomes and effectiveness
Manage key regional programs and execution of events, identify and establish relationships with community partners and key stakeholders
Stay abreast of relevant research, trends in Citi’s Corporate Citizenship focus areas and promote best practices across the region
Promote strategic, skills-based employee volunteer initiatives in Asia Pacific in coordination with internal stakeholders and collaborate with Citi businesses to implement a “more than philanthropy” approach
Manage the coordination of the Global Community Day in Asia Pacific
Drive regular and effective external and internal communications that increase the transparency/visibility of community investment activities among key stakeholders in the region
When relevant, lead and provide disaster response support and guidance; and
Represent Citi at relevant forums, meetings, and events.
At least 5 - 7 years working experience in the Corporate Social Responsibility / Citizenship space and in the development/non-profit sector
Experience in the financial services industry and the fields of youth economic empowerment, financial inclusion, and/or environmental sustainability will be a distinct advantage
Stint in a multinational company preferred
Excellent English communications skills, especially writing/editing/proofreading, with in-depth understanding of grant proposal writing
Ability to manage and facilitate multiple projects across geographies and work
Excellent process management/organizational skills including time management and attention to detail, and the ability to manage large amounts of documentation
Strong project management and event management skills
Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, as well as the ability to interact effectively with all levels and be a team player
High degree of proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Knowledge of print and web-based publication design/production techniques
Degree qualified; Master’s degree a strong plus
