Job Description:

 

The AML FCB Team is a KYC support and control function within the ICG_AML Group responsible for the Preparation, Development, Due Diligence and Approval of the FCB KYC Record and associated documentation in partnership with KYC Owner and other stakeholders.

 

The job focuses primarily on ensuring Timely and effective KYC Record processing for the Foreign Correspondent Banks in line with Citi & Other regulatory guidelines.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the execution/completion of KYC Records assigned to the team and Quality Control of the completed Records in line with Citi & Other regulatory guidelines
  • Meet KYC Makers on daily basis to discuss WIP KYC Records and prioritization. Also provide feedback to them based on records checked/rejected
  • Mentor and coach KYC Makers on an ongoing basis on top rejections, process change, new process update
  • Acts as expediter for chasing up 1st level escalations within the Team
  • Ensure that Stakeholders gets the expected service within the agreed timelines and participate calls where deemed necessary or KYC Maker is finding it difficult to manage
  • Resolve any issues in performance or Quality of KYC Records and escalate to Team Lead / Operations Head wherever necessary
  • Proactively identifies and resolves any other execution risks and issues, escalating Issues to stakeholders to ensure smooth progress of KYC Records
  • Responsible for reviewing KYC Records, preferably complex cases that need higher level of experience/attention  
  • Conduct calibration sessions to standardize knowledge across team
  • Review/implement feedback from REM (as applicable) to ensure continuous improvements
  • Monitor daily Maker workload (e.g. coming due) and ensure actioned as per agreed timelines. Ensure data quality in the KWT/other tracking tool with periodic checks.
  • Identify, review, and perform enhanced due diligence on Senior Public Figures and associated individuals related to Foreign Corresponding Banks
  • Review negative news, sanctions, or red flags from the AML and Sanctions Screening results and from other approved sources. Evaluate the details of the findings and the materiality of the news, and escalate for clearance according to procedures

 

 


Qualifications
 

Qualifications:

  • 4+ years AML Compliance experience required preferably related to performing Due Diligence reviews of high-risk client types and/or business related KYC experience
  • 2+ Years of Team Lead experience
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required
  • AML Certification desired
  • Highly motivated, detail oriented, organized, good interpersonal and communication skills, advanced analytical abilities
  • Language Skills: Fluent in English required; proficiency in a second language a plus
