Job Purpose:

 

Part of the Corporate Actions Validation Group, Gurgaon- responsible for capturing, scrubbing and cleansing the Corporate Actions Data for producing the Golden Record on the Central Corporate Action capture platform - Event Master Central (EMC) for Citi wide consumption.

 

Job Background/context:

 

The Information Services Group (ISG) is responsible for providing authoritative sources of reference data to our clients across the Institutional Client Services (ICG) organization, through implementing state of the art technologies which promote the collection, storage, analysis, and distribution of product, pricing, account and corporate action data.

 

The ISG organization works in partnership with data clients across all ICG business lines, deploying solutions to increase their competitiveness, through restructuring business processes, simplifying information access, and providing business intelligence around critical data. 

 

Corporate Action Event Announcement data is consumed by multiple business lines within ICG. The ICG business provides transaction services, such as treasury and trade solutions, and securities and fund services; and securities and banking services, including market making, underwriting and advisory, corporate lending, private banking, and institutional asset management. It serves corporate, institutional, public sector, and private banking clients.

 

The role forms part of a group that is responsible for the management of business information on Corporate Action Events that is used throughout Citi. This information facilitates both the day to day operation of our business, as well as assisting with longer term strategy and planning.   

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Capturing, cleansing and reconciling the corporate action data from multiple data providers for creation of a Gold Copy
  • Making sure that the Golden announcements are complete and handled in a timely manner
  • Ensure the quality, accuracy and timeliness of the Golden Record of Corporate Action Announcements
  • Learn the domain of Corporate Actions
  • Interaction with global Internal teams and IT teams to ensure timely resolution of issues
  • Daily exception and system analysis to drive continuous improvement of the operations systems
  • Managing and providing operational oversight, reporting on MIS and presenting business issues/achievements to the stakeholders

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Some Understanding of Securities Market Functions and Corporate Actions

Skills:

  • Good knowledge of MS Office Suite, including proficiency in Excel
  • Strong teamwork skills in a small local setting, as well as across different geographic locations
  • Strong analytical skills with a high level of reading comprehension and an excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to focus on high quality work while under pressure
  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and meet deadlines
  • Audit risk and control knowledge to identify operational risks and “red flag”

Qualifications
 

Qualifications:

  • Good academic qualifications and a strong track record in Corporate Actions Processing domain
  • Financial services related qualifications would be advantageous
  • Exceptional candidates who do not meet these criteria may be considered for the role provided they have the necessary skills and experience.
