You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key capabilities, knowledge and experience. Within the context of the responsibilities described above under ‘Your key responsibilities', the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
Broad knowledge and understanding of ISO legislation, regulations and standards that apply to a multidisciplinary laboratory organisation.
Demonstrated advanced technical knowledge and active participation of quality procedures and processes for maintenance of NATA/ISO accreditation and biosecurity certification.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Inorganic Chemistry analysis.
Demonstrated high-level communication and interpersonal skills to provide authoritative advice to colleagues and management and show an understanding of client and team needs.
Demonstrated high-level written communication skills to document and review operational procedures and analytical methodology.
Proven ability, or the capacity to rapidly acquire the ability, to develop, document, deliver and evaluate training programs in a scientific environment.
Ability to provide advice and assistance in relation to organisational compliance.
Demonstrated experience in developing and delivering compliance training.
Mandatory possession of a tertiary qualification in Science, preferably with a Chemistry major.
While not mandatory, a qualification in quality management or internal auditing would be well regarded.
Experience in the use of a quality information system / database would also be highly regarded.
