About (Name of Business Group):

  • The CBORC (Consumer Business Operational Risk & Control) organization is a ‘First Line of Defense’ with the responsibility to ensure we protect Citi Consumer North America’s assets, reduce risk, and monitor/govern over the front to back production environment. CR&A (Consumer Reporting & Analytics) provides leadership to the NAM Consumer Bank in the design & implementation of common control processes and systems, which allow the CBORC team to efficiently monitor, escalate, and report key risk factors to all levels of management.  CR&A is responsible for Senior Management and Executive Reporting functions for Citi Retail Services, Citi Retail Bank and Citi Branded Cards, which includes greater than $40B in receivables across 40+ million open active card member accounts

Role Outline/Job Summary:

  • This position will be primarily responsible for execution of control monitoring processes for adherence to regulatory and risk policies, and identifying and escalating issues so that solutions for gaps and opportunities are addressed. The candidate will interact with members of CBORC Quality Assurance, leaders within Brands, Citi Retail Services, and Retail Bank functions. This position will work with the Consumer Business Operational Risk & Control Team

Role & Responsibilities:

 

Business/Department Objectives: 

  • Ensure adherence to regulatory and risk policies, identifying and escalating issues so that solutions for gaps and opportunities are addressed

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Learn regulations governing the credit card industry and use knowledge to identify areas of non-compliance

Day-to-Day Responsibilities: 

  • Confirm adherence to Regulatory and Risk Policies through monitoring and account reviews
  • Communicate with transparency on issues and gaps identified through escalation process for remediation
  • Provide exam, audit and review support (review sample population of accounts, research questions during review process)
  • Contribute to new review processes
  • Participate in control calibration sessions
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the work and processes performed within the department
  • This position requires the ability to work independently and in a team environment to meet deadlines

  • Deliver assigned monitoring and account review quality assurance testing reports in a timely manner

Qualifications
 

Qualifications:

 

Education: 

  • College Graduate - Bachelor’s degree

Skills: 

  • Strong PC knowledge and familiarity with Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and SharePoint
  • Excellent Attention to Detail
  • Flexible and willing to adjust to changes
  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills across business levels

Preferred:

 

Experience:

  • 1 year of recent experience at Citi Cards
  • Knowledge of multiple platforms (FDR, IBS) and portfolios preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of Operations Procedures and Risk Policies

Skills:

  • Ability to analyze a phone call, email, chat session, customer correspondence and/or letters and quickly identify issues
