Role and Responsibilities:

  • As a member of the North America (NA) Data Governance Utility reporting to the Operational Risk Manager for Data Quality Measurement and Monitoring and Data Quality Issues Management Resolution and supporting the following Line of Business (LOB’s):
    • Retail Services
    • Branded Cards
    • Retail Bank
    • Mortgage
    • Commercial Bank
  • This individual will support the Data Quality Measurement and Monitoring and the Data Quality Issues Management Resolution (IMR) functions within the NA Data Governance Utility
  • This role will perform the required duties associated with Data Quality Measurement and Monitoring, which include the gathering of data quality requirements, and putting in place the required data quality monitoring and measurement processes to meet line of business and Citi Data Management Policy requirements.  Key responsibilities will include the daily monitoring of data quality measurements, identification of potential issues, and the creation of the required executive level reporting. This role will work closely with the Data Quality Measurement and Monitoring teams
  • Additional responsibilities include the resolution and remediation of data quality issues at the root cause. This role will perform root cause analysis and identify solutions to address data quality issues working closely with the Data Quality Issues Process Management team. This role will be responsible, working closely with the Data Quality Issues Management team to develop and submit Project Work Request or Maintenance Technology Requests (MTPR) to address and resolve the open data quality issues
  • This role will work closely with various team across the five (5) NA lines of business Data Governance teams and additional functions within the business to identify and document the required business requirements to address data quality issues
  • In addition, this role will participate in Tier 1 (issues review) and Tier 2 (manage the issues) meetings. Additional duties include making sure data quality issues that meet the IMR criteria are captured in the Issues Management tool, monitored, tracked and get up to date
  • This role will be responsible for providing the required reporting in support of the Data Quality Measurement and Monitoring and the Data Quality IMR process

Day-to-Day Responsibilities: 


Business/Organization Alignment

  • Conduct Data Quality Profiling, Monitoring and Measurement and Root Cause Data Quality Issues Analysis and solution identification
  • Work closely with the NA DG Utility Leads to identify data quality measurement and monitoring requirements and conduct the root cause analysis and subsequently the resolution of data quality issues
  • Participate in the identification of Critical Data Elements that will be monitored and measured in the Data Quality process
  • Engage in the Implementation of  Data Quality Monitoring and Measurement for all CDE’s identified by the NA LOB’s Data Governance teams
  • Develop, and distribute required Data Quality Reporting for all of the NA LOB’ s to meet LOB’s needs and GCB DGO reporting requirements
  • Document and distribute policy, regulations, rules, definitions and standards as it relates to Data Governance, Data Quality and Data Management
  • The remediation and resolution of data quality issues across the NA LOB’ s in compliance with Citi Data Management Policy IMR process requirements
  • Provide monitoring, tracking, and reporting of  Data Quality Measurements and IMRs
  • Participate in Tier 1 and Tier 2 meetings for NA LOB’s
  • Ensure that all IMR’ s  are  captured in Issues Management System and are tracked, monitored, and kept up to date
  • Provide required Data Quality and IMR reporting to meet Citi Data Management Policy and Line of Business reporting requirements

    • Bachelor of Engineering or Graduate Degree
  • Preferred
    • Bachelor's degree preferred or relevant experience required


  • Required
    • 7- 11 years’ experience in Risk Analytics, Decision Management, Finance, Operations and/or Collections, Business Intelligence , Technology,  Data/Database Management, Customer Analytics and Reporting, Project Management, Operational Risk
    • Knowledge of Data Analytics / governance
    • Knowledge of Data Quality Processes, Management, and Measurement
    • Experience in conducting Root Cause Analysis and presenting with findings
    • Functional/Domain experience in Banking functions (preferably Cards/ Retail Bank/Commercial)
    • Metadata and Master Data Repository Management experience a plus
    • Metadata and Master Data Repository Development and Implementation a plus
    • Fundamental understanding of relevant business processes and data segments
    • Project Management experience a plus
    • Technical data management experience is a plus


  • Required
    • Experience with SAS, SQL, Oracle, Unix, Cognos is a plus
    • Strong PC skills including Word, Excel, Power Point., Microsoft Project
