About the position:

Qatar Airways Holidays is looking for an ambitious, dynamic and creative marketing professional to play a key role in the growth and continuing success of Qatar Airways holidays. While this is not a startup company, it is an exciting time to join Qatar Airways Holidays as the department is going through a period of great expansion and the successful candidate will be responsible for developing and activating a comprehensive marketing strategy. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating brand guidelines for QRH and refreshing them on an ongoing basis.  They will oversee the marketing team activities and make sure that the team deliver the plans and target in their assigned source market, ensuring high levels of service whilst increasing revenue and awareness within the market.

Key Responsibilities:

Brand development

  • Work closely with the QR brand team to ensure we are aligned with the overall global brand strategy
  • Create a comprehensive list of brand guidelines and ensure that all stakeholders adhere to them


Campaigns and Marketing strategy

  • Develop Marcom and E Strategy for the promotion of Qatar Airways Holidays products, including annual media plans, website enhancement and social media application
  • Review the market trends and oversee the implementation of strategies to attain revenue targets. Develop integrated commercial marketing campaigns ensuring consistency of message and imagery in all key communication channels.
  • Ensure commercial marketing campaigns are launched timely and on budget. Employs the full range of marketing mix, including through the line campaigns, events, digital marketing, sponsoring and advertising, advancing the company’s image and market profile, applying them in a wide of relevant market contexts e.g. exhibition, conferences and publications.
  • Establish the department or teams objectives and priorities to align with and support business objectives. 



  • Oversee the Website and the related revenue generation opportunities from its effective Marketing.
  • Grow ENL subscribers and social media presence.
  • Address customer communication process, guidelines and interaction.


Stakeholder management

  • Be comfortable working with people at all levels of the organizations and able to develop strong collaborative working relationships both internally and externally.
  • Integrate with other departments such as E-Commerce, Privilege Club, Lounges, Staff Travel and Al Maha to improve customer proposition by leveraging group strength.
  • Coordinate with company offices in all locations to streamline branding and collateral.
  • Liaise with Media and Creative Suppliers in order to optimize the brand exposure and benefit.
  • Acting as the business’s liaison with the media and with the goal of keeping the company firmly in the spotlight, develops a comprehensive communications and public relations program, coordinating media interest in the organization and ensuring regular contact with target media.


Budget & Performance Management

  • Propose the annual marketing budgets to Executive Management to ensure the business maximize the opportunities and contribute to the success of Qatar Airways Group. Promote annual promotional budget for the business ensuring maximum utilization of budgets and fair allocation of space/time between vendors.
  • Oversee and monitor the performance of the team through the weekly and monthly reporting procedures.
About You:
  • University Qualification – Minimum Bachelor’s Degree. Ideally Marketing related.
  • Minimum of 7 years relevant industry experience
  • Experience within Travel Agency, Airline and/or Tour Operator sectors would be preferred.
  • Experience in Media Planning, Advertising and Market Search especially in dealing with Agencies.
  • Good knowledge of e-commerce within the travel sector.
  • Has a collaborative and strategic approach and can significantly contribute to building the brand.
  • Proven record of success in managing operations teams and delivering results within a multinational and multi-cultural environment.
  • Knowledge of tourism markets and of the key players would be advantageous.
  • Strong English Language Skills essential
  • Arabic Language skills are an advantage.
  • Must have strong problem solving and decision making skills and be capable of leading and performing well under pressure.
  • Sound leadership, management and financial presentation skills.
  • Managerial skills, including the ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow.
  • Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop team members as well as the ability to foster teamwork amongst the team.
