Job Purpose:


  • The objective of this position is to manage, co-ordinate, provide support and assistance to Head of Markets and Security Services S.A.


Job Background/context:

  • Full administrative support to the Head of Markets and Security Services S.A and to the Markets and Security Services S.A Department.




  • Direct liaison and communication with all Direct Reports.
  • Records and minutes of various meetings.
  • Schedules appointments.
  • Arrange travel schedules and reservations.
  • Screens telephone calls and give information to callers or routes to appropriate official; and places outgoing calls.
  • Read, routes and responds to some incoming mail.
  • Composes and types routine correspondence.
  • Prepares some outgoing mail.
  • Files correspondence and other records.
  • Takes dictation and transcribes on PC.
  • Makes copies of correspondence or other printed matter.
  • Any other administrative activities required by Sales and Trading Head.
  • Administrative management and monitoring of deliverables in the Division.
  • Administrative management and monitoring of expenses.
  • Preparation of management reports.
  • Cashing cheques/misc banking activity
  • Arrange conferences and meetings
  • Daily PandL reconciliation and submission to London
  • KRI Tracking

  •  Minimum Matric
  • Post-Matric qualification - Secretarial diploma
  • Diploma or Degree would be an advantage





  • 3 - 4 years secretarial skills with extensive experience in office automation (i.e. MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint

Should the Business Head and HR deem there to be high potential candidates who do not fully meet the inherent requirements of the role the candidate may be considered for the position, provided they have certain skills and experience which are closely related to the role. In the exceptional cases where we hire a more junior candidate, HR may require to bring in the candidate at the appropriate grade than the one advertised to maintain internal equity. In these cases the Business and HR will work together to determine a formal development plan for the candidate to get them up to the appropriate grade.


Exceptional candidates who do not meet these criteria may be considered for the role provided they have the necessary skills and experience.
