Supports the Strategic Planning, Decision Making, Costing, Project Management, Financial Planning and Analysis. Establishes and recommends operating procedures; establish major schedules and task assignments within area of responsibility. Budgetary planning with focus on cost effectiveness and control. Full Control over country Taxation (including ensuring proper tax consultant appointed by QR - ensuring compliance with all country tax laws - ensuring timely and properly submission and settlement of tax returns - ensuring 100% error free I interest free I penalty free taxation). Key Accountabilities:
Guides financial decisions by monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures. Protects assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing internal controls internal controls and implement the corrective actions. ·
Analyses monthly financial statements of stations, identifies the drivers of financial performance and process of potential solutions. Provide a full support with outstation start - ups within the country.
Review of contracts and compare the rates with OBIT vs actual invoice by conducting the self-audit for direct operating cost, Manpower and overhead cost. Ensures that all contracts are negotiated with best possible terms.
Evaluate station Cost Management committee (CMC) cases for finance cost center and provide guidance to stations on CMC queries.
Establish internal controls for accurate and timely accounting, smooth month end /year end closings,
Budgeting, timely collections and payables without penalties, local compliances, smooth and clean audits.
Audit finding results from Internal and External audit and check the audit criteria are being met or not identify of best practice or improvement opportunities. Perform the Self Audit at station and ensure all
Perform frequent tests to check on the internal controls at Outstations of the region for adequacy with Group standards and policies, suggesting and implementing alternative solutions to Senior Management, if required.
Correct monthly closing as per HQ target dates. Accurate plan of cash outflow and inflow for efficient and timely running of operations.
Prepares budgets by establishing schedules, collecting, analyzing and consolidating financial data and recommending plans. Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.
Ensures that receivables are timely collected and payables are timely paid with no penalties.
Ensures that the funds are effectively managed as per corporate directives.
Provide business support to Commercial and Airport Managers requiring financial assistance.
Ensure proper calculation of all taxes and timely submission to avoid any penalties.
Protects operation by keeping financial info and plans confidential.
Fully understand all related local laws with regards to corporate tax, salaries tax, Funds Repatriation customs, GST, VAT WHT, Social security, Labor law.
To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor’s Degree with professional accounting certificate like CA/ICWA and preferably a law degree with specialization in taxation combined with a minimum of 7 years of job-related experience at managerial level .
In addition, you will have the following job specific skills and experience:
Expert on local laws and regulations related to local taxes , payroll taxes, social security, pension schemes, payroll, book keeping, etc.
Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members
