  • As the APAC/EMEA GCB Operations Strategy & Business Planning Head, this role is responsible for the planning, development and program management for Ops Strategy/2020 Services/Speed, Business Processing and Analysis, and Workforce Management.  The position will be charged with aligning the Business/Functional strategies into one cohesive Operations approach in alignment to global role.  The candidate will also be responsible for setting the strategic direction of their groups, identifying key capabilities/ process improvements helping to deliver the Servicing 2020 targets (100MM of productivity in Asia/EMEA) , Omni-channel , workforce forecasting & capacity planning,  and all cross-functional data analysis.  This will be facilitated by partnering with regional /business functional leads to drive improved efficiency and customer experiences, and managing performance to ensure the organization is operating within control.
  • The person will work with the Asia Consumer operations head and help him prioritize, provide instructional leadership to functions and facilitate execution. This would include responsibility for BP&A, centralized analytics and operational MIS for consumer Ops. The analytics and MIS effort would be targeted at understanding the underlying drivers of demand and would help identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Candidate is fully accountable for end results, budgeting, planning, policy formulation and significant contribution to future strategy of the group.  Leader will be responsible to collaborate with Senior Leaders, Line of Business and Regional Partners on medium to long-term planning for broad issues affecting the business. Leader must be able to influence across the organization to socialize / gain backing (e.g. funding, tech capacity, etc.) for key initiatives needed in the space.  He/she must be able to resolve issues / escalations referred by subordinate managers and staff.  Candidate needs to be a seasoned operational leader who can dive into execution issues when they arise, and create an action plan to resolve the execution gap.

  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA an asset
  • 15+ years of experience in financial services with 5+ years in a senior role
  • Ability to lead motivate and influence others; negotiates and influences at senior levels
  • Strategic, critical, franchise thinker with a passion to transform the business
  • Expertise in strategy development with a demonstrated ability to drive the achievement of strategic and financial results
  • Strong sense of accountability, decisiveness and sound work ethic
  • Excellent organizational, project/program management skills with proven experience driving large, dynamic programs with a sense of urgency
  • Understanding of mobile/online/digital landscape, technology and capabilities
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to interact effectively with people at all levels within the organization
  • Sound awareness of business policies, process, structure and applications across the Global Consumer Banking space
  • Ability to operate in a highly matrixed and ambiguous environment, navigate through the global framework, handle conflicting priorities and problem-solving skills
