Department Overview


Citi Internal Audit provides independent, objective, reliable, valued and timely assurance to the Boards of Directors of Citigroup and Citibank, the Audit Committees, senior management and regulators over the effectiveness of culture, ethical conduct, governance, risk management, and controls that mitigate current and evolving risks and, in so doing, enhances the control environment across Citigroup and Citibank. Internal Audit is a global organization of c. 1,800 professionals covering Citi's global businesses and service to clients and customers in over 100 countries. In Citi Ireland c.30 audit professionals provide audit assurance over the activities of Citi Legal Entities based in Ireland and other EMEA locations, including Citibank Europe Plc. (headquartered in Ireland and Citi’s EU Bank).  Internal Audit teams based in Ireland are comprised of subject matter experts focusing on Treasury and Trade Solutions, Prime Futures and Securities Services, Corporate and Investment Banking, Operational Risk Management, Model Risk Management, Compliance, Finance, Capital Planning and Regulatory Reforms.


Team/Position Overview


The TTS AVP will have responsibility for working on and leading audits that cover the TTS Business in EMEA. This role directs the timely delivery of complex high quality, value added assurance and audit reports for a portfolio of business activities, which meet the requirements of the Boards of Citigroup and Citibank, their affiliates and of Citi’s respective regulators, globally. The candidate must possess knowledge of cash management and trade products. 


Key Responsibilities:


• Contribute to the development of audit processes improvements and pro-actively develop automated routines to help focus audit testing
• Apply solid understanding of internal audit standards, policies, and local regulations to provide timely audit assurance and to influence audit scope
• Perform audits related to Cash Management and Trade Services and Finance business including drafting of audit reports, presenting issues to the business and discussing practical solutions
• Provide coaching to team members in all phases of the audit process
• Monitor the risk environment and assesses the emerging risks through the Business Monitoring process.


Qualifications
 

Experience and Skills:


• Experience of auditing financial services with knowledge of Transaction Banking, in particular cash management and trade services and finance products
• Strong data analysis and/or technical skills to analyze complex business data would be an advantage
• Demonstrable knowledge of advanced Excel and Access functions to perform data analysis/test automated controls
• Effective negotiation skills
• Strong interpersonal skills for interfacing with all levels of internal and external stakeholders
• Project management experience
• Good organizational skills and ability to work proactively without close supervision
• Willingness to travel as this role requires extensive business travel within the EMEA region
