Job Purpose:

  • The purpose of this position is to support the APAC and EMEA regions in the development and standardization of Cards core operations. A key role will be to articulate the team’s vision, and translate this vision into clear strategies and specific actions which supports Cards business growth, anticipates, and exceeds customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility includes driving strategic direction, performance and ensuring the Cards core ops units across the region adhere to firm policies and procedures, regulatory and legislative requirements
  • Ongoing responsible for establishing and driving a strong engagement and governance model across the APAC Cards and Delivery Services function in core ops.
  • In addition to supporting the countries and their direct teams, you will oversee vendors as applicable
  • A key requirement will be to work jointly with the countries in developing process and practices that meet our business objectives and set a clear strategy that is developed and communicated across the region
  • Provide support and be a liaison to the consumer cards business.
  • Develop ideas, through initiation and implementation on related areas and lead projects to achieve efficiency and improve client experience.
  • Plan and ensure effective and efficient management of Cards and Delivery Services function
  • Manage and support  key business related initiatives such as MasterCard Conversions
  • Develop and co-ordinate between various Ops functions group to ensure execution/implementation of the business plan
  • Ensure compliance and conformance to regulatory ruling and corporate policies/procedures and its relevant control
  • Ensure appropriate controls are in place to manage the operational risk, information security, outsourcing and other related risk in carrying out the functions
  • Be innovative in order to embed best in class operations processes that fulfill customer promise
  • Help ensure financial target are met to deliver the plan numbers
  • As part of a regional team you will work jointly with the team to influence change and promote progress in achieve all goals
  • Build a high-performing team by leading and coaching direct reports to be able to achieve the business objectives
  • Ensure the appropriate skills and experience are developed within the business to promote career development and growth
  • Develop leadership skills of direct reports through both training and challenging on-the job assignments
  • Promote a positive and committed team environment to underpin strong employee engagement



Qualification :

  • Strong knowledge of Cards products and Delivery services, including and not limited to the products, payment instruments, and its related functions .
  • Knowledge in local legal and regulatory requirements
  • Track record in delivering results – recognized for strong execution skills
  • Strong and demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work with and influence a diverse and senior management team
  • Excellent client skills and strong stakeholder management
  • Results driven with strong drive and finely tuned business judgment
  • Defines operational policy and drives outsourcing decisions
  • Sets standards for product and service delivery
  • Experience in operating internationally across large, highly matrixes organizations
  • Experience in leading and managing teams across multiple locations
  • Strong people management and interpersonal skill
  • Strong pedigree in the financial services sector
  • Bachelor degree, preferably with Master degree, major in Business, Finance, Operations Management
  • At least 15 years of relevant working experience
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a complex organization, across multiple cultures, geographies and disciplines
  • Detail-oriented, with the ability to produce quality deliverables while managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience in planning and leading cross functional initiatives and events
  • Strong leadership and communications skills and ability to think creatively and analytically
  • Advanced communication/presentation skills; ability to creatively develop new material for a wide variety of constituents
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills, and a collaborative style
