Job Purpose:


Operations Program Manager to lead the QMA and NLP initiatives and any other key project (as required) by the business. Helping to forge the right global governance, CPMC standards, training plan and internal reporting with the objective to drive cultural change and innovation across Direct Custody and Clearing and Global Custody Operations team. 


Job Background/Context:

Key Responsibilities:


• This role is expected to provide support and overseeing the key global NLP programs and QMA Implementation
• Projects are global in nature and will require engaging stakeholders within Operations, Technology, Business, Compliance, Legal, Regional/Global Management and external clients
• Drive project across products and processes at a global level as required
• Delivering to tight deadlines across multiple geographies and functional teams
• Enhancing ops innovation culture
• Training resources
• Ensuring project prioritization and delivery
• Ensuring right engagement with Ops teams
• Follow-up with project team on project status, risks and issues.
• Assist in the compilation of statistics, measures and key performance indicators maintained within the Program Office.
• Ensure appropriate governance structure of all projects including materials, budget, risks and plan tracking
• CPMC project management guidelines are followed strictly
• Appropriately escalate in a timely manner all risks and issues identified
• Deliver Consistent and timely project related MIS on a regular basis
• Others as appropriate

Qualifications
 

Qualifications:


• Extensive years of experience in Financial Services
• Educated to degree level or higher (Master’s Degree or Doctorate) preferably in a legal field
• Formal project delivery experience in Custody   Operations
• Formal project management experience in sanctions related projects
• Formal experience in managing book of work
• Formal experience in Technology
• Successful completion of the PMP/PgMP course

• Individual contributor with the ability to work in a team of diverse skill sets and cultures
• Strong people, process and business focus
• Ability to react to a dynamic environment
• Ability to remain calm and objective in a high-pressure environment
• Must have strong drive and enthusiasm, self-management and be ready to use own initiative

• Extensive years of experience in Project Management
• Experience of working in a process-driven environ-ment with legal/compliancy focus
• Experience of a financial services environment with an analytical focus
• Experience of working in a controls-focused environment
• Proven experience delivering tangible results
• Formal project delivery experience in Custody Operations
• Formal experience in managing book of work
• Formal experience in Technology
• Formal experience in Risk management
• Formal experience in internal audit management
• Formal experience in People Strategy related initiatives 


Skills:


• Strong grounding in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Microsoft Project) is required
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Visio is desired
• Project Management and Excellent analytical skills
• Pragmatism combined with a can-do attitude is a pre-requisite
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Ability to establish credibility at multiple levels
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

This assessment will be carried out through extensive interviews, self-disclosures, permitted criminal record checks, reference checks, credit checks and other background checks. If hired for this role, you will also be required to complete an annual declaration regarding your Fitness and Propriety.
