This is an exciting opportunity to join a world class team. As Cargo Duty Terminal Manager you will be responsible for maintaining balanced operations within QAS-Cargo. You will provide operational leadership to a multi-cultural team to achieve targets and deliver outstanding performance on a daily basis. You will oversee airport operations and ensure the team meets operational KPI's. You will have overall accountability for rectifying operational issues resulting in disruption of service reliability, whilst providing governance to multiple operational systems improvement projects.
Activate operational recovery protocols to protect business needs including but not limited to Breakdown/ System Recovery.
Assist in terminal utilization by streamlining operational process in terms of reallocation of manpower and equipment resources to maintain business requirement.
Ensure safety and security of the operation, facility, staff and visitors at all times.
Ensure the customers’ expectations and requirements are met and exceeded through management of SLA and BHP in alignment with QAS and QR Cargo corporate objectives,
Make appropriate decisions consistent with QR and QAS Cargo corporate objectives within Cost Management Principles.
Conduct Pre-shift meetings with Duty Managers to discuss shift activities and allocate staff as needed to cover.
Point of Contact for all facilities management issues during the shift.
Drive all operational departments in delivering agreed customer service standards for each product type (including all new products).
Interface and work in conjunction with systems and IT providers to ensure minimal operational disruption.
Duty Managers must ensure cargo terminal stock and inventory levels on key operational items are maintained (i.e. ULDs, Pallets, Ramp Carts, etc.). Initiate recovery plans when they fall below operational acceptable levels.
Maintain effective dialogue and personal interaction with corporate QR Departments to ensure cargo products profile are both visible and considered as an essential high priority.
Carry out effective and timely performance appraisals for all Duty Managers.
Maintain each section’s budget and forecast spend OTE.
To be successful in this role you will hold a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with minimum 7 years of relevant experience.
You should also have a good understanding of warehouse automation with proven Cargo Warehouse Operational experience at a senior level.
Terminal HUB experience is highly desired. Applicants must have the ability to work in a fast paced and busy environment. You should also have excellent managerial skills with the ability to foster team work.
