About the Role

Provide high level of knowledge, skills and clinical leadership within the area of Early Psychosis. The position contributes to the Multi-Disciplinary Team in the management of the individual young people experiencing early psychosis with the aim of enabling mental health services to connect and build capacity for their local communities to promote positive consumer outcomes.

  • Provide clinical services, including assessments and treatment both in hospital and community settings to improve the outcomes for young people presenting with early psychosis.
  • Show a high level of clinical skills, knowledge and experience informed by evidence based practice and clinical experience in mental health service delivery.
  • Provide consultation and liaison in both a hospital and community setting regarding early psychosis interventions.
  • Provide specific consultation, advice and education regarding early psychosis to a range of stakeholders.
  • Facilitate group and family intervention (which may occasionally include working after hours)
  • Plan, co-ordinate and provide clinical supervision to mental health clinicians and students.
