You will be assessed on your ability to demonstrate the following key capabilities, knowledge and experience. Within the context of the responsibilities described above under ‘Your key responsibilities', the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:
Experience in the collection of diagnostic samples from a range of patients including children and babies.
Demonstrated experience or ability to acquire experience in the correct procedures of pre-analytical processing for the performance of laboratory testing.
Proven ability to follow instructions and work conscientiously and accurately with minimal supervision after careful instruction.
Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively and work productively in a team environment.
These positions will be required to work shifts in both Hervey Bay and Maryborough Hospitals.
In some circumstances and following consultation, Queensland Health staff may be required to participate in 24 hour shift and on-call roster arrangements.
