Purpose of Role 

The Social Worker Senior delivers clinical consultation and liaison for child protection within the Caboolture and Kilcoy Hospitals and the community. The role encompasses the provision of specialist social work services that contribute to maintaining the integration of child safety initiatives. The service functions within an early intervention and prevention framework that seeks to enhance child protection for children and families at risk across the continuum. 

This includes the provision of leadership, specialist advice, consultation and education to multidisciplinary staff. The position works under the clinical governance of the clinical nurse consultant.
