Position Objective:

 

Citi’s Global Cross Border Payments business is a market leader in cross-border and FX payments.

 

Through our flagship products, WorldLink Payment Services and Cross-Border Funds Transfer (CBFT),  we offer  cross-border payments solutions to 10,000+ clients located in 100+ countries.

 

Through Global Cross Border Payments clients can make payments from their primary functional currency accounts to beneficiaries in 135 currencies through wires, SWIFT, ACH, cash and cheques.

 

Our Clients benefit from the strength of Citi’s global network by offering capabilities and services through Citi Global Markets (FXLM), Citi’s branches and through our global ICG banking business.

 

As we invest for the future, TTS will merge Worldlink and CBFT into a single cross-border payments processor and expand our payment capabilities to meet the current and future digital needs of our clients.

 

The Voyager PMO will have the opportunity to drive transformation change to deliver a cutting-edge digital payments experience to Citi’s Clients.

 

The Voyager Senior Program Manager (“Voyager PMO”) is a TTS Product Management role will be responsible for the design and execution of the Global Cross-Border Payments Voyager Programme. 

 

The objective of the Voyager Programme is to merge WorldLink and CBFT product processes into a single platform, deeply integrate currency conversion services into the Citi Market’s FX platform, expand payment capabilities and greatly enhance the user experience through real-time, digital self-service tools.

 

It is critical for the PMO to complete over 35 workstreams of packaged functionality, by (1) leading diverse, global, cross-functional teams and (2)  providing strong governance for projects ranging start (business requirements) to finish (market launch).

 

Additionally, the PMO will lead and manage non-strategic projects, including risk and control, client communications and other planned initiatives.

 

The Voyager PMO reports directly into TTS and will develop a close working relationship with Markets (FXLM) and other Citi businesses.

 


Key Responsibilities:

 

The Voyager PMO is responsible for leading successful execution of the Voyager Program in line with project management methodology, and manage and coordinate complex set of activities across multiple globally dispersed and cross function work streams, including Sales, Product, Technology, Operations, Client Service, Marketing, Risk and Controls, Legal and other teams.  Key areas of responsibilities include:

  • Delivery of 35+ workstreams across Treasury and Trade Services (“TTS”), Citi Markets (“FXLM”) and other Citi business lines.
  • Serve as single point of contact for the Programme and internal functional partners, responsible for the coordination and successful end-to-end delivery of the program. Closely manage the expectations of the TTS and Markets organization
  • Maintain disciplined and uniform application of structured project management methodologies within the PMO, ensuring effective project control, proactive risk identification and remediation and seamless delivery to plan.
  • Co-ordinate regional and global functional partners to ensure high quality execution of defined programs.
  • Chair the Board and Steering Committee meetings with all cross-functional team leads
  • Maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders
  • Escalate and manage critical issues to resolution
  • Manage program communication and serves as escalation point for stakeholders
  • Manage project scope and apply the change control process
  • Lead testing and solution validation efforts to ensure the solution does not impact client’s bau processes and is line with market, regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Ensure effective transition from project to production
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to department initiatives to implement process enhancements
  • Attention to detail and comfort dealing with administrative work associated with solution delivery and on-going operational control.
  • Effective workload management/prioritisation to increase capacity/productivity within the implementation team.
  • Effective maintenance and communication of MIS and project metrics. Provide on-going senior management and stakeholder updates on programs.
  • PMO leadership and management for non-strategic projects, including risk and control, client communications and other planned initiatives

Qualifications
 

Knowledge/Experience:

  • Extensive years post-qualification related experience required with a BS/BA degree.  MBA preferred.
  • Experience managing senior resources in a pressurised environment.
  • Experience managing across multiple functions and legal vehicles
  • Project management background  
  • Client facing background.
  • Experience operating at a senior (regional/global) management level.
  • Experience with FX, Cross-Border Payments and Cross-Currency Products
  • Corporate treasury and cash management knowledge, preferably with professional certification.
  • Strong understanding of risk and regulation for payments and foreign exchange


Skills:

 

 

Proficient with MS Office Suite in particular proficiency with Excel (with proven ability to manage large sets of data), and proficiency with Power Point (to prepare presentations to a very different target audience)

Qualifications:

  • MBA or Graduate Degree Preferred
  • Undergraduate Degree/Third Level Qualification essential

The role is a ‘Controlled function’ CF as defined by the Central Bank Reform Act 2010 and European Central Bank (Single Supervisory Mechanism) Regulations 2014 (and related regulations and guidance).
