Description
 The Marketing Analytics team is focused on understanding the impact of Above the Line marketing campaigns run at Citi, on driving brand and product awareness, consideration and acquisitions.  Some of the team’s focus areas are: 
  • Social Media Campaign Analysis: Understanding customer conversations on social media platforms, in terms of key themes and sentiments, around Citi’s marketing campaigns
  • Social Media Listening: Analyzing social media chatter around different aspects of Citi’s business – products & services, customer experience, brand positioning etc.
  • Brand Performance: Benchmarking Citi’s brand presence & positioning against that of key competitors in the banking and credit card issuing space
  • Marketing Impact Analysis: Analyzing the impact of different above-the-line marketing initiatives on brand perception, digital engagement, acquisitions and customer value

Qualifications
 Analytical Skills
  • Proficient in formulating analytical methodology, identifying trends and patterns with data
  • Strong logical reasoning ability
  • Experience in text mining and/or unstructured data analysis
  • Experience in usage of different analytical techniques, like segmentation, time series forecasting, hypothesis testing, optimization, Market Mix Modeling etc.
  • Established competency in one or more of the following
    • Financial Analysis
    • Business Analysis
    • Statistical Modeling
 (Preferred)
    • Experience working with data from different sources and of different complexity 
Tools and Platforms      
  • Experience on Sprinklr or Radian6 platforms
  • Proficient in SAS/R and SQL
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred
  • Experience on Hive 
Domain Skills (Preferred)
  • Knowledge of Credit Card Business & P&L statement, Understanding of Retail Banking Business
  • Understanding of customer life cycle in financial services industry 
Soft Skills
  • Ability to understand complex business problems, break them down into simpler solvable parts and develop analytical approaches to tackle them
  • Ability to drive clear and comprehensive communication flow between business stakeholders and the team and vice versa, translating analytical findings into key insights and actionable recommendations
  • Building and managing high performance teams
  • Ability to coach and mentor team members on an ongoing basis
  • Ability to drive ideation on analytical projects to tackle strategic business priorities
  • Comfort on working with ambiguity and open ended questions
  • Strong process/project management skills
  • Contribute to organizational initiatives in wide ranging areas including competency development, training, organizational building activities etc. 
Education and Experience:
  • MBA / Master degree in Economics / Statistics / Mathematics / Information Technology / Computer Applications / Engineering from a premier institute, or BTech / B.E in Information Technology / Information Systems / Computer Applications
  • (Preferred) Post Graduate in – Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, Statistics, Econometrics, Management Science and related fields
  • 6 to 10 years of hands on experience in business analytics
  • (Preferred) Business analytics experience in banking or financial services industry
