Responsibilities/Duties:

The University of Calgary Department of Psychiatry is recruiting an Academic Geriatric Psychiatrist. The appropriate candidate must be qualified to work clinically in the field of geriatric psychiatry. They must also be able to run an independent program of research in the field of geriatric psychiatry, and teach and supervise trainees in this area.

Qualifications:

Training in geriatric Psychiatry. Associate professor university rank or above. And advanced degree ( MsC or PhD )

The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.

Must read, write and speak English.

All qualified candidates are encouraged to apply; however, Canadians and Permanent Residents will be given priority.

Compensation:

The qualified candidate would be eligible for the Department academic funding plan. Salary range $441, 637-$462,337

The candidate must be able to provide Specialist on call services as required by the Department.
