 Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Section Manager (VP), the Financial Reporting Manager (AVP) is responsible for managing the Financial reporting team ensuring the preparation, production, review and dissemination of financial statements are completed within the agreed deadlines.
The successful candidate will also gain exposure to the client and regulatory reporting for Citi Global Fund Services clients. 
This role will involve working across functions internally and directly with our clients, auditors and regulator.
The individual will also be responsible for ensuring operational processes and controls are effective, with system and process improvements implemented effectively.

Job Background/context:
The Dublin Reporting Team within Global Fund Services is responsible for producing financial statements, regulatory, client and KIID Reporting. Client ownership and growth is key for the Dublin franchise, and there is a developing distributed model with COE locations to support this goal. We are looking to recruit a candidate with strong Financial and Fund Accounting experience to work in a busy team responsible for the production of the Financial Statements and management of the external audits.Regulatory and/or KIID Reporting experience is not required but would be beneficial as there will also be exposure to these sections of the wider team.

Key Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities are managing the team to ensure that all deadlines are accurately met for annual and semi annual financial statements, tax work and monthly management accounts. Working with the team to implement any new accounting standards or any Regulatory changes that impact the Financial Statements. Managing the relationship with the offshore team.
The successful candidate will also gain exposure to client, regulatory and KIID reporting.
The successful candidate should have:
  • Extensive years of experience in a financial reporting unit and extensive years of experience managing a team. 
  • Strong technical expertise on accounting for financial instruments, with past record of contributing significantly to an accounting and regulatory technical team.
  • Keep up to date on accounting standards and regulatory change and ensure a consistent approach is applied by the team to any new changes.
  • Experience in managing the financial statements process for funds and managing the external audits
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues.
  • Good track record in meeting client deliveries to agreed service level agreements 
  • Strong communications skills with practical experience in dealing directly with clients.
  • Experience in training offshore and onshore teams to a high standard and keeping them up to date with regulatory and accounting changes.
  • Good organisational skills with a proven ability to manage a challenging work load.
  • Experience in managing people and completing appraisals.
  • Experience with a fund accounting environment with experience of producing all elements of a valuation would also be beneficial.
  • Maintain a high level of integrity, a commitment to service excellence and ability to take ownership of tasks.
  • Deputise as required for manager.

  • Finance related third level qualification.  
  • Qualified accountant 

  • Proven track record and extensive knowledge of funds services and its processes
  • Hands-on supervisory style with strong leadership skills
  • Knowledge of Mutual Fund Accounting, Regulatory, and Financial Statements are essential
  • Project Management skills will also be an advantage
