Description of Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for preparing and reviewing of investment funds financial statements to ensure disclosures are in accordance with applicable accounting standards and reporting jurisdiction
  • Responsible for preparing and reviewing of risk-based capital reports for delivery to the clients on a timely basis including managing clients’ enquiries
  • Work closely with internal/external relevant stakeholders to ensure timeliness and accuracy of financial statements and risk-based capital reporting deliverables
  • Manage communications with clients/external auditors on financial statements or accounting issues to ensure auditor’s agreement with clients’ accounting disclosures
  • Identify operational risk issues, control deficiencies and develop recommendations on risk/control aversion measures
  • Participate in service review and due diligence meetings with clients; effectively demonstrating the process flow and strict control environment
  • Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding regulatory updates in accounting standards, best practices and sharing with the relevant stakeholders
  • Lead and motivate team to meet client deliverables and direct reports career development
  • Plan and manage daily operation and to utilize resources effectively
  • Execute strategy and initiatives delegated by senior management
  • Ensure timely escalation of any issues to senior management
  • Directing staff appraisals and goal setting and monitoring performance and KPIs
  • Undertake projects and UAT process relating to process enhancement, implementation of new systems and products, as required



  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in finance, accounting and/or related professional accounting qualifications
  • Preference will be given to candidate with CA, CPA or ACCA qualification with at least 5-8 years of external audit experience, ideally with exposure to financial services and insurance sectors
  • Strong technical knowledge with financial reporting requirements under IFRS and other applicable regulatory provisions such as Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) and Singapore Insurance Act
  • Knowledge on preparation of fund accounting industry will be an advantage but not a must
  • Exceptional leadership and staff development skills with prior team management experience
  • Excellent communication, influencing and negotiations skills with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with both internally and external clients
  • Proven ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization with ability to prioritize work on multiple assignments to meet tight deadlines and manage well through ambiguity and complexity
  • Ability to plan, execute and follow through the completion and documentation of assignments in a dynamic work environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel, Word and PowerPoint; whilst familiarity with Excel-Macro will be an advantage
  • Detail-oriented team player with strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills are essential
