About your opportunity
The purpose of the Registered Nurse is to deliver timely holistic client care according to scope of practice, within a primary health care model in an offender health setting as prescribed by policy, clinical standards, clinical guidelines and protocols, workplace instructions and the Corrective Services Act 2006. Offender Health Service is situated at the Townsville Correctional Centre and staff are subject to security and safety requirements of the Townsville Correctional Centre. The Townsville Hospital has a Memorandum of Understanding with the Queensland Corrective Services (General Manager of the Townsville Correctional Centre) and is represented by the Queensland Health Nurse Unit Manager onsite. Staff are to familiarise themselves with the orientation and induction to the facility incorporating Correctional Service safety induction requirements including Corrective Services criminal history check as well as Queensland Health.

Generous remuneration package value up to $101,243 p.a. comprising salary range of $68,977 to $88,474 p.a. (Nurse Grade 5), 17.5% leave loading, 12.75 % employer contribution to superannuation.
