Role Objective

The Clinical Lead, as part of the CQ Health Obstetrics, Gynaecology and maternity network, leads and manages the Obstetrics and Gynaecology team within Gladstone Hospital enabling high-quality, contemporary services integrated within the clinical services framework of facilities within CQ Health. Liaison and coordination with the network and other clinical departments is critical as is ongoing service development and teaching so as to provide for a sustainable service.

Location/s: Gladstone Hospital+ Rockhampton, Emerald and Biloela Hospitals, Capricorn Coast Hospital and Health Service, Woorabinda Multipurpose Health Service

Some of what we are looking for?

  • Commitment to the principles of quality in health care including participation in quality improvement programs relevant to Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage Obstetrics and Gynaecology services to achieve clinical and operational services targets and to achieve strategic business objectives.
  • Extensive clinical experience with appropriate knowledge and skills extending across the range of obstetric and gynaecological presentations, with an ability to work in relative isolation, deliver quality specialist care to patients in a clinical setting including directing the process of assessment, admission, ongoing care, transfer and discharge of patients.
  • Commitment to and achievement in research and in leading and participating in an education program for clinical staff at both an undergraduate and postgraduate level.

 Qualifications/Professional registration/Other requirements

  • MBBS or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  • FRANZCOG: Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists or equivalent eligible for registration as a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA).
  • Driver licence (Class C)


What is on offer?
Remuneration value up to $439,489 p.a., comprising salary between $204,543 - $216,865 p.a. (L25 – L27); or remuneration value up to $403,126 p.a., comprising salary between $171,044 - $198,678 p.a. (L18 – L24);

  • Up to 12.75% employer superannuation contribution.
