The role: 
As the Application Specialist, it will be your responsibility to provide high level specialist advice on, and support for the Hospital Based Corporate Information Systems (HBCIS). You will provide high level end-to-end service delivery for enterprise systems to ensure they are met by establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with other technical specialists, application specialists, vendors and end users.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Provide effective change management, capacity planning, incident management, risk management and continuity planning utilising best practices in systems support and service delivery within the ITIL framework
  • Provide timely application support activity reports to stakeholders
  • Assist in the ongoing development, maintenance and deployment of application specific guides, work instructions and technical documents.

Are you right for this role?
To secure this role you will have demonstrated ability in developing and promoting ITIL Service Management processes and the provision of high level specialist advice and support for enterprise applications/services.  You will have a high-level understanding and working knowledge of the HBCIS application.  Your application should also highlight your previous experience ensuring that service delivery meets agreed service levels in a customer focused ICT business environment. 

Additionally, you will have strong verbal and written communication skills, along with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with stakeholders at all levels of an organisation.
