Citi has made it a priority to foster a culture where the best people want to work, where individuals are promoted based on merit, where we value and demand respect for others and where opportunities to develop are widely available to all. Job Purpose: Citi is seeking a highly motivated candidate for the  IT Business Lead Analyst position in Global Spread Products Technology (GSP) to work closely with Sales, Trading, Product Development, Middle Office, Operations and Risk Management users to help build software product to streamline existing Sales & Trading business processes that can help business  gain competitive advantage in Flow trading. This will be full time employee/ onshore position based in NY/NJ.  Job Background/context: Global Spread Products is a very dynamic area within Citi’s Markets Technology area and covers a wide variety of products such as Corporates, Municipals and Mortgages (Cash & Deriv).  A successful candidate will be responsible for implementing strategic projects focusing on eTrading and / or Pricing aspect of the business. Candidate will be working in a dynamic flexible work environment with his/her lead, global teams & stakeholders to rollout new initiatives to Global user base across NAM, EMEA and APAC.  As business analyst in GSP Technology the candidate will be responsible to analyze projects, create BRD/FRD, manage JIRA dashboard, engage with stakeholders as well as developers (including QA) and partner with stakeholders to perform business UAT prior to launch of new features & functionality.   Key Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Senior Business stakeholders on product roadmap, strategy and overall project governance and reporting.
  • Facing off to all stakeholders – traders, sales, product team, operations, risk managers, business controls and other technology teams to gather requirements and create crisp and accurate BRD/FRD
  • Work with Dev and QA teams to translate business requirements into technically feasible and efficient solutions
  • Engage with QA team to identifying appropriate test scenarios
  • Document workflows and business logic related to data for consumption by end-users
  • To work with the business and be the point of contact on multiple projects
  • Determine schedule for UAT and identify which roles and scenarios need to be tested by the business
  • Collaborate effectively with Application Managers to ensure project deliverables remain on track and aligned with business goals
  • Identify and communicate project risks as they arise and escalate when appropriate
  • Generate adhoc reports as requested by the business or technology management
  • Present BoW and projects updates to Senior Management during bi-weekly planning sessions
  • Maintain meeting minutes to ensure effective, on-going communications across all team members
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis and one-off reports
  • Comply with all governing rules, standards and guidelines for project management
  • Bring Business Analysis best practices to the team and also influence the wider organization to adopt the same

  • Knowledge of business data flows and financial products (Bonds & Derivatives).
  • Ability to derive use cases based on requirements gathering & translating into a functional specification
  • Experience in writing SQL and analyzing data models/data sets
  • Prior development experience or working closely with development teams
  • Prior experience working on a trading floor & or working with finance/product control teams
  • Knowledge of loans and structured transactions is a plus
  • Ability to create presentations for senior management and experience managing stakeholders
  • Experience working with remote teams with little supervision
  • Prior Project Management and exposure to agile development methodology
  • 7+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst in a financial firm with banking and financial products specifically Fixed Income
  • Proficiency with documentation tools like word, excel, visio, power point and screen mock up software
  • Quick learner and navigates effectively in unfamiliar environments
  • Challenges and recommends new ways to do things in a more efficient manner
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Work effectively independently
  • Strong Inter personal, analytical & problem solving skills
  • The candidate should be a self-starter with excellent communication skills and a willing team player
  • Ability to handle pressure should be a quick learner and should be able to multitask
  • Acute attention to documenting details with accuracy
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college required in MIS, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Computer Science or related education
  • Exceptional candidates who do not meet the above criteria may be considered for the role provided they have the necessary skills and experience 
  • Requires excellent  Written and verbal  communication skills
  • Excellent functional, analytical, interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Must be a willing team player and must be able to collaborate and work with wide variety of teams/stakeholders
  • Strong project management and business analysis
