Alberta Health Services is currently seeking the services of a fully licensed physician to manage the medical/surgical needs of Vascular patients admitted to the Grey Nun’s Community Hospital Surgical Services units (ENT, Plastic Surgery, Ortho & coverage of General Surgery in the absence of resident coverage), and to respond to related consults within the emergency department. The Surgical Services Clinical Associate role involves working under the direction and supervision of an attending Vascular/ENT/Plastics/Ortho Surgeons.
Qualifications:Ideal applicants will have some experience in the clinical management of medical/surgical problems seen in hospitalized vascular patients and demonstrate an interest in the assessment and management of patients with conditions requiring vascular treatment. Applicants must be able to care for critically ill patients. Applicants must currently have the skills or be able to learn the skills required for this position, including Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) certifications. Education may be provided as required to the ‘selected’ applicant.
Surgical Services at the Grey Nun’s Community Hospital include responsibilities for both inpatient care, and consults/admissions in the Emergency department.

Remuneration will be a combination of FFS billings through Alberta Health and Wellness and an hourly stipend.
