  • Lead the Asia Private bank investment operations team in Chennai CSC
  • Ensure error free environment and work on future expansion
  • Identify and implement process standardization initiatives
  • Introduce a culture of management by metrics by designing and implementing KPI and KRI metrics for the processes
  • Ensure proactive local, regional and global stakeholder management and timely escalation of issues
  • Performing/ managing daily operations/workflow and managing the team in achieving process deliverables and MIS on regular basis
  • Identifying opportunities to reduce the operational manual touch points and liaise with internal departments as required, to implement the changes to meet the goals
  • Providing on the Job training to new recruits, updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) from time to time
  • Ensure the Audit readiness all the time and get thru with satisfactory rating for both internal and external
  • Demonstrate commitment to Continuous process improvement and ensure risk free operations
  • Work in technology partners for various ad-hoc projects and new initiatives including system testing
  • Ensure all of the critical tasks are monitored to meet SLA and daily control function checklists are reviewed
  • Eye for detail and defects Operational errors should be identified, escalated and resolved promptly; identify root causes and propose/ implement corrective/ preventive actions
  • Implement a structured cross-training program to ensure staff are horizontally trained across the broader function allowing effective back-up support during contingencies
  • Being part of a global product ops organization, encourage learning and sharing of best practices and ideas with peer groups and team members
  • Incumbent should have experience coaching and mentoring junior staff to be able to retain talent by providing development opportunities
  • Identify and groom back-ups as part of succession planning

Qualifications
 
  • Having 10-15 years of work experience in Financial and Investment Banking Operations interacting with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Hands on experience with product launch, trade processing, settlement, corporate action processing, reconciliation for Securities and Capital market products
  • Experience in controls environment is preferential
  • Good knowledge about various investment product attributes and importance of each attributes in trade life cycle
  • Strong analytical skills, detail orientation, service commitment, and organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work with less supervision as well as in a team environment, prioritizes multiple tasks and meets deadlines
  • Strong MS Word, Excel skills required
  • Supervise, Monitor, Control and Co-ordinate all activities in the team
  • Lead and Motivate employees in the team
