Exciting Registered Nurse position is currently available in Brookvale Community Health Centre.
This unique community nursing position provides the opportunity to practice truly holistic nursing care, using a biopsychosocial approach to address the range of health needs experienced by those who are dependent on opioids. The successful applicant will work between 8:30 am and 5:00 pm, Monday to Friday, however some weekend relief work may be available on request.

Located in the new, purpose built Northern Beaches Opioid Treatment Program facility in the BROOKVALE COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTRE at 612 Pittwater Rd, Brookvale the workplace is easily accessible by car, or B-line and other bus transport.

What you'll be doing
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individual/s and the greater health care team to achieve quality patient care outcome.

Employees must abide by the NSW Health Code of Conduct. Criminal record checks will be undertaken on successful applicants and applicants for positions designated as Category A will be required to obtain required vaccinations prior to commencing employment. 

 

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
  • Consistently demonstrates behaviours that reinforce the CORE Values of our organisation; Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. Demonstrates these behaviours with all stakeholders; colleagues, direct reports, as well as our patients and consumers, and those that care for them.
  • Registered Nurse - Division 1 with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Current clinical knowledge and clinical problem solving ability.
  • A commitment to excellence in nursing practice and continuing professional development.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • An understanding of the professional, ethical and legal requirements of the Registered Nurse.
