About Your Job:

This exciting opportunity has arisen to join Qatar Aircraft Catering Company as Vice President Operations. The successful candidate will be in charge of leading the team of + 1,500 employees and ensuring optimum operational efficiency of the catering facility at Hamad International Airport by directing all reporting departmental heads and establishing, formulating, defining and developing strategies to achieve operational growth as per the organizational objectives to the required environmental, food safety, food quality and hygiene standards.

You will also be responsible to direct, control and manage all operational activities within Qatar Aircraft Catering Company including: Ware wash, Equipment Packing, Assembly, Service Delivery & Dispatch, Laundry, Final Mile Delivery, Fleet Maintenance with full accountability of Profit and Loss responsibility for the above. 




  • Oversee, manage and monitor all operation department and ensure full respect of all HACCAP rules to ensure all environmental and quality standards are adhered to
  • Prioritize and allocate available resources among the different operation areas to ensure on time performance and legal requirements are met
  • Accountable for the ongoing reduction of operational waste whilst creating additional revenue streams

Customer Relations

  • Strengthen existing client relations and deliver together with the customer the expected first class service on board
  • Expand customer portfolio by developing and implementing new market strategies 

Budget and Reporting

  • Prepare and submit initial departmental budgets based on pre-defined commercial assumptions in line with Qatar Airways and other external stakeholders

Management & Leadership

  • Establish the departmental objectives and priorities to align with and support overall business objectives
  • Regularly evaluate the departmental objectives, plans, procedures and practices, and align as appropriate


  • Responsible for ongoing personal development and growth of expertise within the business
  • Train and develop employees to guarantee succession planning and manage potential operational exposure  

Operational Safety

  • Responsible to ensure that employees at all levels understand work health and safety requirements and expectations through provision of relevant Qatar Airways Group induction, information, instruction, training and supervision
  • Ensure that all managers and supervisors understand work health and safety requirements and expectations to the extent that they can pass on relevant information, identify training needs and provide appropriate supervision in their workplace 


About You:

In order to be suitable for this role, you would possess Bachelor's degree in administration or in a related area. A Master's degree is highly desirable. Also, you would have 10 years or more of work experience in a related area such as Catering, Food & Beverage or other. You would be a natural leader with excellent communication skills. Finally you would have full understanding of HACCP norms and regulations
