Mackay Hospital and Health Service has eight hospitals, two multi-purpose health services and two additional community health services that employ more than 2,700 staff. The Regional Adversity Integrated Care Clinician is accountable at an advanced practice level for the coordination of clinical practice delivered within the Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs Service Division.
The Mental Health and AOD Service is comprised of eight clinical teams across the Mackay HHS. The Mental Health Service is responsible for the provision of comprehensive, specialised mental health assessment and treatment services across the age-spectrum for people with severe and complex mental health problems. The Tackling Adversity in Regional Drought and Disaster affected communities through Integrating Health Services Program (TARDDIHS now known as TRAICC) is an initiative that aims to support individuals and their communities across regional, rural and remote Queensland to better manage adversity associated with drought and disaster. By providing clinical mental health services through a model of care coordination, you will assist individuals to access a range of service providers and sectors and support the capacity of the service system (including government, private and non- government to respond to the mental health needs of people in the community.
