Job Description / Responsibilities:

Dual Responsibility:

  • The Support Banker will work with Singapore- based Regional Account Managers (“RAM”) covering large Multinational clients.
  • The Support Banker will also be the Singapore Subsidiary Account Manager (“SAM”) mirroring the Support Banker Portfolio.
  • RAM Support Banker function involves working very closely on a day-to-day basis with:◦Regional Account Managers
  • Clients’ regional treasury teams, Shared Service Centers, and other relevant contacts
  • Global Parent Account Management teams and in-country SAMs in APAC countries
  • Regional product partners, primarily Treasury & Trade Solutions and Markets, in APAC as well as with their global / in-country counterparts in APAC countries as and when required
  • Regional support teams i.e. Account Services Unit, Business Support Units (KYC Team), Operations, Implementation, Service, Risk, Compliance, and Legal

In the RAM Support Banker role, key responsibilities include assisting the RAMs in:

  • reparation of client pitch materials, regional review materials, Client Account Plans, senior briefing memos, etc.
  • Co-coordinating various dialogues, exercises, projects with in-country SAMs
  • Removing internal bottlenecks to be able to effectively deliver Citi to clients
  • Responding to clients’ queries or channeling the queries to the appropriate internal team for responding, ensuring turnaround time and quality responses are provided
  • Acting as back-up for RAMs when RAMs are traveling or on leave

In the Singapore SAM role, key responsibilities include:

  • Managing relationships with assigned clients
  • Achieving agreed revenue targets
  • Identifying new business opportunities with clients and originating new deals across products, working closely with
  • product partners where possible
  • Identifying clients’ needs i.e. product / credit / operational / resourcing and working through internal chains to deliver on those
  • Understanding of Citi’s KYC policies / requirements and on-time completions of CADDs
  • Understanding of Citi’s Risk policies / requirements and on-time completions of EUDDs
  • Positive Voice of the Customer feedback

Qualifications
 

Qualifications / Success Factors:

  • Reasonably good knowledge of banking products / services, primarily Cash, Trade, Markets
  • Reasonably good understanding of company financial statements
  • Dedicated, hard-working, self-starter, takes ownership, attitude and aptitude to learn
  • Client-focused approach
  • Team player
  • Ability to connect the dots and get things done from others
  • Fluent in communicating in English

Scope for Learning and Development:

  • Good understanding of client businesses and banking across 16 APAC countries
  • Good understating of regional treasury functions
  • Good exposure to engaging with senior contacts, at clients as well as in Citi
  • Very good understanding of RAM role
