Job Purpose:

  • The Asia Retail Bank segment strategy is a well-developed tiered segment model. We are a Regional scale business with 22k Qualified CPC Clients (11 markets), 219k Qualified Citigold Clients (17 markets), 210k Qualified Citi Priority Clients (12 markets), and 4.5MM Citibanking clients.
  • We have new, non-traditional challengers positioning themselves in different markets and growing rapidly. There is unprecedented emerging affluent growth in Asia, clients using digital is expanding at a rapid pace and there is dramatic increase in cashless clients.
  • With this in mind, we see an opportunity to build out a digital only value proposition targeting the emerging affluent/ millennial client segment. We are seeking an experienced Program resource to join the team as the Digital Bank Technology/Transformation Lead, with responsibility to lead overarching program activities. In this role, the candidate will work collaboratively with cross-functional partners to ensure our digital value proposition programs are on track against all key program measures (operational, financial and control).   
Lead the digital/ tech transformation strategy:
  • Liaise with technology and digital teams to develop the digital/ tech roadmap for digital bank
  • Understand Industry landscape and develop business cases for prioritization of new/ enhanced capabilities
  • Develop new ways of delivering business value – open APIs, artificial intelligence, chatbots, machine learning, big data
  • Monitor the start-up environment
  • Lead user centric design thinking
  • Lead the development of integrated digital ecosystems
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering and Design teams to coordinate project activities such as the build and launch of new products, features and programs
  • Coordinate/drive engagement across multiple teams within and outside Retail Bank to ensure program delivery
  • Partner with Executive leaders across LOB/Functions to remove roadblocks and drive delivery
  • Manage Program financials and ensure on time/on budget delivery
  • Experience shepherding projects through Agile SDLC, manage friendly user testing to validate new features, risk tracking and mitigation
  • Provide thought leadership and drive proactive engagement / forward looking risk management on highest program priorities in an effective and efficient manner
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
  • Ideate and execute the digital bank strategic transformation across 17 markets
  • Partner with the regional digital, technology and country teams to define the roadmap and rollout schedules
  • Support country through the rollout and transition phase
  • Define, track and drive adoption of the features, capabilities
  • Provide regular reports/communications to the region & country
  • Management support and escalation for high impact production issues impacting the rollout or adoption of capabilities

Qualifications
 

Knowledge/Experience/Technical skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management or computer science
  • 10+ years in program management/technical program management space, working directly with software development teams
  • Strong understanding of regional GCB business landscape, regional customer portfolio, business trends, technology and digital trends
  • Proven experience of project management, with strong ability to take ownership and drive projects independently
  • A strong commitment to completing deliverables on time
  • A proactive approach and the ability to identify potential project risk at an early stage in the project life cycle
  • The ability to efficiently and effectively escalate key project risks to Key Stakeholders
  • Strong and resourceful problem solver who can manage issues including project related defects working with the various partners
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss complex technical concepts
  • Knowledge of online and offline financial businesses
  • A first-hand working knowledge of current digital technologies
  • Experience working within an agile methodology (SCRUM, RUP, XP)
  •  
  • Personal Skills:
  • Experience and ease in interfacing with Senior Management
  • A track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional, highly technical and complex projects
  • Experience with building and launching new products or services from the ground up
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions and recommendations
  • Possess a natural curiosity and an ability to distill sometimes unfamiliar topics to core issues to make decisions
  • Solid business judgment
  • Team player with a strong sense of competing priorities and the interests of various stakeholders with an ability to negotiate, persuade and adapt
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, able to communicate effectively with senior internal stakeholders
  • Ability to manage, develop and motivate virtual teams, and delivering results both as an individual and through virtual teams
  • Demonstrate through delivery of projects the ability to motivate and influence business partners to deliver on milestones/commitments
  • Willingness to travel, as required
