Legal Documentation Unit (LDU) Overview:

  • CRMS – Legal Documentation Unit (LDU) is part of CRMS control & Operations function It supports documentation preparation, validation and document maintenance activities in system

Key responsibilities:

  • Review and Validation of Credit Legal documentation

  • Documentation lifecycle management (eg Validation, Capture, Storage and retention management)

  • Coordinating, reviewing, and extracting terms of finalized client credit agreements and documents

  • Collateral Monitoring: Monitoring, completion and submission of the various collateral related activities like drawing power computation, collateral reporting

  • Security creation and registration/perfection: Coordinating the perfection of security interest in collateral with Registrar of Companies, updating charges with CERSAI for Immoveable and Moveable assets

  • Providing data/support Audits: Managing the deliverables relating to RBI inspection, Statutory Audit, Head Office Internal Audit and Concurrent Audit Interact with internal and external auditors in providing timely information to the queries and data requirements 

  • Recording and distributing information electronically to support business, operations, management reporting and the exposure and limits monitoring

  • Statutory and regulatory compliance: Keep abreast with changes in Companies Act, Credit policy, Stamp duty across states and timely implementation

  • Responsible for inter-facing with internal stakeholders across multiple functional – Business, Legal, and Internal CRMS teams, Branch Ops etc

  • Resolve portfolio exceptions to ensure accuracy in credit/ risk and regulatory reporting

  • Drive innovations in business processes and technologies by using standard software available within Citi applications

  • Adopt industry best practices exercises to ensure that CRMS is adequately performing the due diligence checks within Citi

  • Create utilities for information gathering and sharing, which will enable better business decision-making tools to mitigate risks within the process



Key skill sets

  • Advanced analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills with an eye for detail

  • Advanced spreadsheet and modeling skills with sound knowledge of technical system architecture for suggesting and implementing enhancements which assist the unit head to derive efficiencies

  • Excellent collaboration, verbal and written communication skills with good negotiation skills with internal stakeholders to deliver process oriented solutions

  • Ability to manage, partner and drive complex projects with internal departments 

  • Have a Client Service and Solutions oriented approach
