Commercial Subsidiaries Group (CSG) is one of CCB’s global initiatives incepted in 2017 to facilitate cross-border business by leveraging on the strength of Citi’s global network in extending banking advisory and support to the overseas subsidiaries of CCB global parented clients. This role within CSG Malaysia team as a Relationship Manager offers an excellent opportunity for colleagues within the CCB organization to gain international experience serving our CSG clients as well as to drive efforts to build / further develop the client corridors with key countries such as USA, Europe, India, China, Korea, Taiwan etc.
Building new country corridors / Develop new-to-bank business relationships
Engaging with internal CCB colleagues in Singapore (i.e. product and risk partners etc), within the global CCB network (i.e. Parent Account Managers in CCB USA, Europe, India, China, Korea, Taiwan etc), as well as external business associates such as chambers of commerce, trade associations, international company secretariat and accounting firms etc, to gain a good understanding of the drivers of the country corridors
Help formulate value propositions and strategies in collaboration with overseas CCB units / Parent Account Managers
Instrumental in driving the acquisition and on-boarding of the local subsidiaries of global CCB parents through these initiatives
Cross-marketing /needs fulfillment for existing clients
Responsibilities include having oversight for customized product offering / cross-selling, credit and KYC-related matters pertaining to the assigned client portfolio
Responsible for client satisfaction and relationship profitability
At least 2 years’ experience working in commercial banks with basic credit knowledge and product solutioning
Experience working directly with CCB clients, preferably with exposure to clients from USA, Europe, India, China , Korea, Taiwan
Understand Industry trends, with sensitivity as to how it applies to CSG clients
Ability to work as a team across multiple functions and geographies, especially with Parent Account Managers to provide seamless solutions to the Client in line with their global strategy & policy
Proactively identify opportunities to structure innovative solutions and cross-sell the full range of products tailored to customer needs and requirements, increasing share of wallet
Ensure assigned portfolio complies with all bank credit and KYC requirements as appropriate
In addition to English, proficiency in other languages such as Mandarin. Korean etc. will be an added advantage
