CBNA is the primary legal entity for Citi, providing products and services to consumers, financial institutions and corporate clients around the world. In the past, Citi has provided most of its internal reporting on a business by business basis. With the changes in the regulatory environment, strong legal entity reporting and governance has become essential. This team is responsible for ensuring that CBNA has the appropriate governance and control infrastructure to meet the demand for legal entity planning, execution, information management and the ever-evolving regulatory environment.
Description of the Position
The Investment Finance (IF) Specialist will be an integral member of a team of credit specialists focused on the underwriting of loans for Mega Wealth and Ultra High Net Worth Latin American clients, their private investment companies or operating companies. The IF Specialist assumes responsibility for the management of a credit portfolio of relationships in the Private Bank. The functions entail the credit underwriting, credit approval, credit monitoring and for the transaction to comply with appropriate documentation standards in the renewal. The IF Specialist may have a product specialization, thus assuming an active role in representing IF Latam in the Global Products forum
- Bachelor’s degree, with MBA or other post-graduate degree desirable.
- Minimum 8-10 years of credit and lending experience with a large financial institution: private bank lending highly preferred.
- Excellent analytical skils, and good understanding of markets and financial instruments.
- Familiar with guidelines and regulations governing the extension of credit.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage time effectively in a fast paced environment.
- Good communication skills, with an ability to negotiate effectively with bankers, clients, internal peers, inside/outside counsel, etc.
- Mastery of MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
- Full knowledge of English required.- Fluency and proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese required
