About the Role

This role will be required to:

  • Assume clinical responsibility for the overall clinical care to mental health consumers under care of your team.
  • Foster the promotion of standards of excellence in the provision of clinical and public health services.
  • Develop and implement processes to optimise the efficiency and safety of entry, progress and discharge from the service, including comprehensive assessments, interventions and goal planning, clear relapse and re-entry plans, discharge summaries and outcome reporting.
  • Meet with the Director of service or Delegate on a regular basis, to discuss the work related matters and to ensure that clinical governance is prioritised and implemented appropriately in order to monitor and improve service delivery.
  • Support the strategic planning and development of MHS provided by the Service in collaboration with other members of the Metro South Addiction and Mental Health Services Executive Team.
  • Foster an environment of education, quality improvement, evidence based practice and reflective feedback and learning.
