We have an excellent opportunity for a qualified and experienced Institutional Review Board Manager (Tumor Registry) to work in a premier health facility in the Middle East. King Khaled Eye Specialist Hospital (KKESH) is a tertiary care ophthalmic facility located in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The hospital provides quality tertiary ophthalmic care to the patients it serves and promotes the delivery of Kingdom-wide ophthalmic care through its outreach, educational, and research programs.

Position Summary:

Responsible for oversight, administration, coordination, and writing IRB policies, procedures and activities related to the protection of the safety, rights and welfare of human research subjects and for ensuring institutional compliance with Saudi governmental regulations related to human subjects research.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science (e.g. Microbiology, Biology, Bioethics), Optometry, Nursing, or Public Health from an accredited university (Essential).
  • Master’s Degree in Bioethics, Biomedical Science, Health/Social Behavior field or equivalent from an accredited university (Desirable).       
  • Certified IRB Professionals (CIP)/Certified IRB Manager (CIM) from an accredited international organization (Essential) or must pass the certification exam within six (6) months of appointment.
  • Minimum of four (4) years working experience in a clinical setting, at least two (2) years working in conducting research or other related research compliance/ human subject protection, at least one (1) year in senior/ supervisory level   (Essential). 
  • Experience in university/research institution setting (Desirable).
