Job Purpose:

This role will support the APAC Payments lead for all existing as well as envisaged Payments Projects along with their ongoing governance and oversight . i.e.  design, roll out and ongoing oversight of New and emerging Payments (Global Tokenised wallets, Faster Payments and Country Specific Payment systems)

 

Key Responsibilities:

Drive the execution of New and Emerging Payment Systems/ Platforms roadmap and strategy across APAC markets

  • Project Management: End to end implementation of Payment systems partnering with multiple stakeholders- Technology, Markets, Controls- AML, Compliance, Legal, IS, Fraud , CBORC, PSRM ; as well as external partners where applicable
  • Regional Centralized Framework: Work towards common regional product design across markets

-        Common customer facing UI/UX/Marketing Pack

-        Common Product Features

-        Common Tech platform

-        Common Risk Management Framework

  • Post Implementation Monitoring/Governance : Ensure Post implementation oversight on ongoing monitoring including Tracking of performance, complaints, incidents, MCA/CAATTs, Third Party monitoring, Regulatory reporting  etc

Lending & Payments: Drive projects that would leverage new Payment Platforms to be able to create digital lending propositions to get new customers/ drive balances for existing customers 


Qualifications
 

 

Knowledge/Experience/Technical skills:

 

  • 12+ years of working experience with at least 8 years of related experience in financial services/Digital Payments
  • Last experience should be a senior role as product manager / Subject matter expert  in payments / lending products . Should have experience in leading the launch of a product – end to end
  • Thorough know-how on Payments – How they work, latest trends, the regulatory environment around it
  • Ability to understand risks and formulate robust risk frameworks for new payment products , without compromising on the customer experience
  • Solid experience in Project and stakeholder Management
  • Comfortable with and has basic grasp of technology development lifecycles

  • Ability to define new products / customer journeys based on customer needs and market trends
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • Ability to navigate across multiple teams and layers in the organisation without being intimidated by the organisation complexity/hierarchy
  • Ability to lead and influence cross functional teams – across business, controls, technology, marketing as well as local in country stakeholders
  • Leadership and being a good team player

  • Ability to multi-task and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
