We are seeking enthusiastic and highly motivated midwives to join our friendly and progressive service where innovation and transformation is encouraged at all levels. The midwifery services in Blackpool offer excellent experience in all areas of midwifery practice and there are good opportunities for professional education and development.

We are looking for either newly qualified or due to qualify band 5 midwives, who will be rotating through our excellent two year preceptorship package in all areas of our maternity services.

We are also looking for experienced midwives for either a rotational post or a core community midwife post, working in the community hubs across Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre.

Our Intrapartum service includes a co-located birth centre. We have a 22 bed antenatal and postnatal ward and provide community service to Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre.

We have proactively implemented the Saving Babies Lives care bundle which has significantly improved our health outcomes.

We are working collaboratively with multi-agency partners to improve the health of 0-2 yr olds based in our community through Lottery funding.
