Based within any location in the Argyll & Bute HSCP, the GP Facilitator is responsible for the provision of a proactive IM&T consulting service to General Practitioners and the extended primary care team and with the intention of assisting them derive maximum clinical and administrative benefit from IT systems and resources and to advise on appropriate business process change.
The post holder will provide service/system support for systems implementation and provide ongoing support for multiple systems within Argyll & Bute HSCP. The facilitator will work directly with general practices, project teams within NHSH and NHS Scotland, with oversight from the IT Development Manager. Key Systems will include:- Vision, EMIS , Spire, Care Portal, SCI Gateway, Docman, ICE, Skype for Business.
To provide an IM&T analysis service so as to understand the ongoing IT training requirements of staff, to translate these into training programmes and to manage the delivery of these programmes as appropriate. To provide ad-hoc instruction in the use of clinical and non-clinical systems when required and to provide specialist advice and instruction in respect of such systems.
Candidates should be educated to degree/HND or equivalent level and have experience in a similar role. Experience requires good networking skills, strong customer service skills, problem solving, attention to detail and ability to prioritise workloads are essential to this role.
You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Argyll & Bute to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
