£30,401 - £38,046 PRO RATA
We are looking for an enthusiastic, creative and dynamic nurse who would like to be part of a friendly integrated multi professional Learning Disability team within Argyll and Bute. The nurse will provide a distinct service to adults with a Learning Disability in the Cowal and Bute area.
You must be a registered learning disability nurse (RN5, RNLD) with extensive knowledge of learning disability nursing and good understanding of community working. You will be working as a single health practitioner with support from visiting health colleagues from other areas of Argyll and Bute.
The post will provide clinical leadership and direction for community LD nursing within Cowal and Bute. You will carry an appropriate caseload providing expert assessment, diagnosis, treatment and management of this specific individual group and be available to give advice and offer expert opinion to parents, family members, carers, care providers, local authorities and other health care professionals.
We require someone who can work in isolation and autonomously with a person centred approach, excellent people skills, and is experienced in working positively with other agencies, care providers, and health workers. Clinical supervision will be provided by the Professional Lead and there will be opportunities for peer supervision with other learning disability nurses within Argyll and Bute.
You will be expected to travel efficiently and effectively between various work locations within Argyll & Bute to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
