About the Role

  • Organise, coordinate and manage all secretarial and administrative aspects including diary management for the Assistant Nursing Director and Nurse Manager Emergency & Trauma Centre in a professional manner whilst remaining flexible to respond to changing needs.

  • Prepare and distribute agendas, minutes and relevant documents and associated paperwork for meetings, conferences etc., including timely follow up of actions as required for the designated meetings and committees.

  • High level of interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. Provide excellent customer service and communicate clearly and confidently with patients, members of the public and departmental staff over the phone and in person as required.

  • Ability to achieve work targets with limited supervision and contribute to team goals, including the ability to plan, identify and anticipate needs of the Emergency & Trauma Centre staff.

  • Screen visitors and incoming telephone calls and act as an intermediary between the Assistant Nursing Director and Nurse Manager to avoid unnecessary interruptions.
