We have a full time vacancy within the Inverness Older Adult Community Mental Health Team based on the New Craigs site for an appropriately qualified Band 5 Occupational Therapist. The team works with older adults experiencing emerging cognitive problems, dementia and/ or moderate to severe mental illness . You will be supervised by a Band 6 OT, the Team Leader , and supported via the professional OT leadership structures

You will be part of a service which is developing in line with the Scottish Dementia Strategy and Scottish Government Mental Health Strategies. We aim to improve community provision for older adults with mental illness and complex needs and you will have the opportunity to help shape these developments .

The core hours of the service are Monday - Friday 9.00am to 5.00pm. There is currently no weekend working though this may be an option for future development of the service

You will have the support of the team including Consultant Psychiatrist, Psychologists, CPN's , OT and Dementia Link Workers, along with supervision via the Team Leader.

Experience of working in mental health services is desirable but not essential as there is the opportunity to develop these skills in post
