Job Background/Context:

     

The role is within the EMEA MSST In-Country Technology group, role is based in Germany but focuses on EMEA In-Country.

  

MSST Technology Germany develops and supports in-house solutions but also implements and supports 3rd party applications. The primarily support entity CGME has been build out as a broker (EAA investment firm) under the Brexit scenario which requires a massive increases IT focus and governance from a regulator perspective. 

 

AS an EMEA group In-Country MSST Technology strives to provide measurable competitive advantage to their business by delivering high quality, innovative, stable and cost effective services in order to meet the needs of the business, our clients, our regulators and stakeholders. This includes the interaction with the regional Technology partners to drive application standardization.

  

Job Purpose:

  

The main function is to support EMEA MSST In-Country Technology, which emphasises on:

  • Supporting regional MSST In-Country Technology Head on execution of strategic and day-to-day operation
  • Focusing on ensuring that global scorecards and KPIs are met and values constantly improved
  • Coordinating of local German and regional projects/initiatives
  • Leading employee engagement program
  • Supporting project planning and quality reviews
  • Engagement in budget  activities
  • Ensuring full compliance with Citi development and operational standards

 


Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Acts as a trusted partner and point of contact for EMEA In-Country Technology related activities and issues
  • Co-operates closely with application team, country heads and global teams to top senior level across MSST
  • Leads strategic initiative execution and coordinates activities across EMEA
  • Drives KPI scorecards towards zero exceptions across EMEA In-Country Tech
  • Participates in multiple large, projects with significant impact to the enterprise on EMEA level
  • Gets involved in budget related activities, including financials for the region
  • Oversees full year Book of Work and supports Program Manager to ensure compliance
  • Participates in local German IT Governance and MaRisk activities
  • Prepares strategic documents and manages ad-hoc activities with the respective countries
  • Drives progress of Engineering Excellence Program implementation across EMEA In-Country applications
  • Considers the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment; identifies and communicates risks and impacts; proposes risk mitigation options
  • Leads employee engagement program
  • Provides in-depth and sophisticated analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems and develop innovative solutions
  • Influences strategic functional decisions through advice, counsel or provided services which directly impact the business
  • Persuades and influences others through strong and comprehensive communication and diplomacy skills
  • Develops mutually beneficial working relationships with clients and peers
  • Actively works with business partners and stakeholders in the region to assess quality of performance of services provided, drive service excellence and identify actions based on feedback
  • Shares best practice and experience with other teams in ICG Technology Germany
  • Motivates team to always deliver client excellence

Qualifications

  • Master degree or equivalent combination of education/experience

Experience/Knowledge:

 

  • At least 5 years working experience in Financial industry
  • Good Knowledge of Securities Markets, Business Process Management and products associated with it

  • Demonstrated self-starter and resourceful individual, with experience of operating in fast paced and dynamic technology operational settings
  • Experience in working in an international team environment
