About Consumer Business Operational Risk & Control – Quality Assurance (QA) – Control Monitoring Development

 

The role of the Quality Assurance team is to support the business as a ‘first line of defense’ to ensure we have the proper monitoring in place against the multitude of regulatory and internal policies. The Control Monitoring Development Teams main function is in the creation of reporting so that our internal partners within the QA team can conduct reviews on the information/data we provide. The CBORC QA team supports the North American Branded Cards, Retail Services, and Retail Bank businesses.

 

 

Role Outline/Job Summary

 

  • Utilize experience with UNIX and SAS/SQL to create exception (aka CAATTS) reporting and targeted sampling to ensure adherence with controls supporting to regulatory, global policy, local policy, and procedural policies.

 

  • Have a strong understanding and working knowledge of HTML/JavaScript programming language to assist with expansion efforts into website automated monitoring.

 

  • Code, test, execute, and schedule reporting requests and support ongoing business processes using various data sources to preform queries.

 

  • Conduct ad-hoc requests that may include sampling, reconciliation, and quality testing of known issues/errors.

 

  • The position requires interaction with policy, operations, and other functional business partners.

 

  • Lead and/or assist business analysis projects autonomously and provide timely, error-free delivery of business requests.

 

  • Participate in meetings with manager and business partners to share overall status of work, progress and issues.

 

  • Must be able to effectively provide updates and communicate key initiatives to senior risk management.

  1. ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

Objectives:

The role of the Quality Assurance team is to support the business as a ‘first line of defense’ to ensure we have the proper monitoring in place against the multitude of regulatory and internal policies. The Control Monitoring Development Teams main focus is in the creation of reporting so that our internal partners within the QA team can conduct reviews on the information/data we provide. The CBORC QA team supports the North American Branded Cards, Retail Services, and Retail Bank businesses.

Core Responsibilities:

- Utilize experience with UNIX and SAS/SQL to create exception reporting and targeting sampling based upon regulatory, global policy, local policy, and procedural policies to ensure compliance.

- Utilize experience and working knowledge with HTML/JavaScript to assist in expansion into website monitoring automation.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

- Report creation and modification.

- Letter/Image/Statement monitoring and compliance

- Working with our CBORC QA partners to understand the business requirements that will help us to write our code.

Qualifications
 
  1. QUALIFICATIONS

 

Required

Preferred

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field

 

Experience:

- 1 year of experience in banking, SAS coding, HTML/JavaScript experience and coding.

- 1 year of experience in Python coding.

Certifications:

 

SAS Institute Certificate

Skills:

- Base SAS, SAS Macros, SQL, Teradata & UNIX, HTML/JavaScript

- Technical expertise in data extraction, manipulation, and reporting.

 

- Advanced Microsoft Office experience (Excel and Power Point)

 

Other:

Fluency in English is essential.
